This is a free and book-length version of Notes on Kabbalah I originally posted on Usenet in 1992. Yes … 1992. Before the WWW.

Nine years later I rewrote the original text files and published them as A Depth of Beginning. I had originally intended to publish these notes as a conventional paper book, but decided against it.

Please note the license conditions, also on the fly-leaf. This book is for personal downloading and use only. Distribution, electronic or otherwise, is not permitted. If you plan to take a copy and publish it on your own site, don’t. 

The PDF has been specially formatted for printing on A4 paper. It should be fine on US Letter.

Postscript: A Depth of Beginning was originally published in 2001, and as I type this, it is now 2025. I did eventually publish my thoughts in the form of a book titled: The Hermetic Kabbalah.
